Romantic Tunisia
As they say, “there would be no happiness, but misfortune helped” – we planned a vacation at sea at the end of July and the first half of August, it was supposed that this was a gift for our wedding anniversary, but for reasons beyond our control we had to postpone it to September. And did not fail, prolonged the summer, very high quality)
The ticket and the country were chosen spontaneously, with the speed of sound, almost from the airport) Tunisia was chosen on the basis of those considerations that it was not far to fly, the sea was warm, prices were low. End point – Hammamet, 8 days cost us 15,000, 4 star hotel, terrace with great views, all inclusive. And I can definitely say we were not mistaken with the choice.
This is the first trip to my vacation without children with my husband for the last 5 years, so luggage was minimal – two backpacks. Budget winter for two in Phuket
The search for cheap housing with comfortable conditions was the first rebus, which, fortunately, we managed to solve positively.
Positive, because we didn’t have any special requirements except for the low rental price per month) The rental price of our apartment is 8,000 baht per month. The apartment consists of two rooms, a bath, a kitchen (very small), a micro-balcony, all utensils and appliances (except for a washing machine, but at the bottom of our house there is a laundry and washing 5 kg of laundry costs 20 baht, a portion of the powder for washing is paid here – 9 baht). Here in the washing room in the basement there is a vending machine for the sale of drinking water, the cost of one liter is 1 baht (in the store 1 liter – 14 baht).

An unforgettable vacation for two in Jacksonville
I have long dreamed of visiting the state of Florida. The advertised Miami somehow frightened, but, at first glance, the inconspicuous Jacksonville was exactly the opposite – it attracted. Especially if there lives a person very close to the heart.
Visit Jacks (as the locals call him) fell in May 2017. I just flew from Kiev to a conference in New York, and after it I decided to drop in for a three-day visit to a close friend. Frankly, May fits perfectly. Firstly, ticket prices are not so high, since the tourist season has not yet begun. For comparison: the flight from Kiev to Jacksonville and back cost me $ 780. If you buy a ticket for July, then the price will be at least $ 900. Secondly, in May there are not many tourists, the beaches are half empty. Thirdly, spring is not so hot. The sun in Florida is already painfully frying. I can hardly stand the heat, so I do not regret that I flew in May. It is also known that in the summer and especially in the fall in Jacks the rainy season begins, it often floods so that it is impossible to get to work. Hurricanes also come from time to time. It is noteworthy that in Jack is not as hot as in Miami, although there are also subtropics and palm trees at every turn. Continue reading
