What sights to see in the Swedish ski resort of Auray?
The Swedish ski resort of Ore is an attraction in itself, because it stretched as much as 20 km along the shore of Lake Oreshen. There is no longer such an extended recreation area, not only in Sweden, but throughout Scandinavia. In fact, 4 settlements merged here – Ore-Byu, Ore-Duved, Ore-Tegfiel and Ore-Bjornen. They don’t have a clear border, they have already “penetrated” one into another in terms of residential infrastructure development, but for now everyone has their own ski slopes, varying in level of difficulty, ski lifts and light paths in the dark.
This area has been known for over a thousand years. The fact is that the Swedish Ore is on the way to Norwegian Trondheim. It is only 165 km to it, and even less than fifty to the border with Norway. In Trondheim, the Scandinavian pilgrims were going to bow to the relics of St. Olav, and the best road was just through Ore. Continue reading
Family Holidays in Stockholm
It was no coincidence that we went to Stockholm on vacation. Our very good friends went to this Swiss city 3 times already and always come back with new vivid impressions, happy and without money. All the same, Stockholm is designed for tourists with a class above the average, but we listened to all the advice of our guests and decided at least for a short while, to go and see with our own eyes all the charm of this city. Popular sea resorts are already pretty fed up, and in the summer it is very difficult to endure the beach heat and crowds on the beaches.
Arriving in Stockholm, we were convinced that the capital of Sweden is not in vain considered one of the most popular and beautiful cities in the world. Even his son appreciated the architectural greatness of the city and the fatigue after the flight quickly left him.
Immediately upon arrival at the hotel, we purchased Stockholm cards, which are most convenient for tourists, because they are designed for a certain number of hours, during which you can ride any form of public transport, even water. The cost is certainly high, but we justified it, actively moving to different parts of the city, visiting the planned sights. It’s good that for children there is a 50% discount on the card, but as a result, urban transportation cost us about 5000 rubles. Continue reading
Traveling in Switzerland
In fact, Zermatt is an ecological village. Most of the vehicles operating in this village are powered by electric drives, but there are also trucks and tractors with conventional diesel engines. These trucks and tractors are used in construction. Zermatt is one of the popular ski resorts, with several no less famous peaks, the height of which reaches and exceeds the mark of 4 thousand meters. The famous four-thousander Alps – Matterhorn is located right there. It can be easily seen in the form of an emblem on the cover of Toblerone chocolates of any supermarket.
Loved the interesting architecture of the village. Most houses here are at least half wooden. They are special in that for the construction of such houses not logs or bars were used, but rectangular carriages. Also, the first floor of the houses and their piers are built of stone or brick and plastered. The roofs are covered with pieces of slate of about 80 * 80 cm, and 3 cm in thickness. Continue reading

What excursions to choose in the Czech Republic?
The Czech Republic is a unique country. I didn’t want to return to any other country again after the visit, but I wanted to go to the Czech Republic. As a result, it happened: I visited there twice as part of a tourist group. Both times we traveled by bus from Minsk, with visits to Brest, Poland, Austria and some other wonderful places. As soon as you pass the border of Belarus and get into Poland, it immediately becomes clear that there is something to see. It was Czech attractions that attracted me the most. It so happened that in no hotel did we stay longer than two or three days. So, having stayed in Prague in some inexpensive 3-star hotel, we went daily with an excursion to other Czech cities. Of course, we devoted the first day in the Czech Republic to Prague itself, looked at Stara Mesto and Mala Strana. It is impossible to describe in words how much I liked Charles Bridge and the Powder Tower, the Astronomical Clock on Old Town Square, Prague Castle, and many other famous places of this magnificent city.
